Intro to Value Local 👋🏽
We think and write about the value of local—and plan to create other content too. Our focus is on valuing local and serving local—whether you're a business, consumer, constituent, neighbor, or even a tourist visiting someone else's local community.
Orlando + Volusia County
We are local to and live in Central Florida, from Orlando, New Smyrna, and just north, in Daytona. These are our home bases, and what we call local. They're the places we think of when considering how to serve, shop, and experience our local area.
Global Local
We travel (see that blog) and want to experience other people's local culture, food, and businesses. We actively seek these authentic experiences and encourage others to do the same when traveling. Sure, Starbucks provides a reliable bathroom break and coffee for the kids, but we recommend finding those local shops that truly represent the area.
Represent your Local
We'll explore this topic more in depth later, but we want to introduce how you can represent, patronize, and serve your local community. Look for more detailed guidance in our future articles.
